چکیده
In 1556 Georgius Agricola I wrote, in his De Re Metallica, about the "colour of fumes" from various types of ores. This may be the earliest record available in which the color of a flame-excited metal sample was used to identify a substance. If so, it represents the start of flame spectroscopy as an analytical tool. For several hundred years thereafter, development in this field was very slow. In 1704 Newton 2 made some observations concerning the nature of light and its colors. It was not until the 1800s, however, that new developments and improvements in methods and techniques became significant. It was during this century that the foundations of modern analytical spectroscopy were developed.

Solid phase extraction of trace cobalt (II) in industrial wastewaters by modified nanotube carbon carboxyl and its determination with flame atomic spectroscopy
Applying a simple and selective sample preparation procedure prior to instrumental analysis is the most important and crucial step in an analytical process. Up to now, various sample preparation techniques based on solid phase extraction (SPE) systems have been developed to isolate various types of analytes from different matrices. In the method presented for preconcentration and measurement of...

متن کاملNon-destructive rapid analysis of brominated flame retardants in electrical and electronic equipment using Raman spectroscopy.
Using Raman spectroscopy without any preparation, we analyzed the brominated flame retardant, polybromodiphenyl ethers (PBDEs), which has been prohibited by the European Union. The typical Raman bands of PBDEs, which are clearly different from those of other brominated flame retardants, are from 100 to 300 cm(-1). In our analysis, the detection limit was about 100 ppm, and the analysis took abo...
متن کاملSynthesize and Optical properties of ZnO: Eu Microspheres Based Nano-sheets at Direct and Indirect Excitation
Europium (Eu) doped ZnO microsphere based nano-sheets were synthesized through hydrothermal method. Effects of different concentrations of Europium on structural and optical properties of ZnO nano-sheets were investigated in detail. Prepared un-doped and Eu-doped ZnO samples were characterized using X-Ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), scanning electron micro...

With the rapid development of water quality analysis technology, endocrine disruptors (ECDs) such as residual pharmaceuticals including antibiotics are continuously detected from the drinking water sources of Korea which are mostly rivers. Due to the recent abnormal climate, the average temperature of river and lake water has been increased, and substances having taste and odours because of alg...
